Bring your EMS knowledge to the outdoors!

McGregor partners with SOLO Wilderness Medicine to bring the classes you want to you.

Stonehearth Open Learning Oppurtunities (SOLO) is the nation's oldest school for wilderness medicine. McGregor is proud to staff a number of SOLO Wilderness Medicine instructors and offer a variety of wilderness certifications including, Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, and Wilderness EMT, along with their recertifications throughout the year.

 

McGregor has the benefit of access to the University of New Hampshire's natural areas, which are an ideal location to learn and practice wilderness medicine. To see the upcoming wilderness medicine courses, look below.

Wilderness EMT Certification

 

This course is for current EMTs who would like to learn about taking their skills to the outdoors. We will discuss wilderness medicine, improvising medical splints and tools, long term patient care, and rescue carry out procedure.

Where:

The UNH campus in Durham, NH.

 

Tuition:

The cost is $450. This cost includes books and course materials.

 

Prerequisites:

Students must posses a current National Registry EMT or EMT-Basic certification or above.

 

Students must possess a valid Healthcare Provider or Professional Rescuer CPR certification.
