Refund Policy

 

-Cancellations prior to 14 days of the start of the course- full refund 

 

-Cancellation within 14 days of starting the course- Refund minus course deposit.

Cancellations after course has started- No refund. 

 

Advanced EMT

Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians provide the the first line of Advanced Life Support providers. They are trained in advanced physical assessments, minor cardiac dysrhythmias, intravenous therapy, and advanced IV drug administration. The Advanced EMT, in the absence of a Paramedic, is the highest trained medical provider in the the prehospital setting. They have over 200 hours of combined clinical and didactic education to provide them with a solid ALS background for treating patients with advanced life threats. They are trained in many advanced airway procedures to aid the distressed respiratory patient. They are a crucial member of the EMS hierarchy.

  • 6:30pm-10:00pm every Monday & Wednesday at UNH-Durham campus (or online, depending on COVID, with only labs being in-person)

 

The New Hampshire Scope of Practice Module will be integrated into the class.

New Hampshire Hall located on The University of New Hampshire campus in Durham, NH.

 

Prerequisites

Current - Valid EMT Certification
Current - Valid Basic Life Support Provider CPR Certification

* These classes need to be finished by the completion of the course. Print out copies for your records as well as a copy to turn in for class.


Affiliation with an ALS level EMS Agency or Service
 

Tuition

$1,400

 

Note: Books, testing and certification fees are NOT included. You must also have a professional CPR certification to complete the course. You can obtain this yourself, or take our course.

When

May 27th to August 27th, 2020

  • 6:30pm-10:00pm every Wednesday and Thursday. Most classes will be online via Zoom, while labs will be at our Durham station.

 

The New Hampshire Scope of Practice Module will be built into course activities.

 

Where

New Hampshire Hall located on The University of New Hampshire campus in Durham, NH. If UNH cancels its summer session, due to COVID-19, then the lectures will be done online and lab meetings will occur in small groups at McGregor's Durham station.

Tuition

Course tuition is $1,400. This cost also includes required background check and drug screening for clinicals.

 

BLS Provider CPR can be added for $60.

Additional costs may be incurred if you do not have the required, up-to-date medical examinations and vaccinations required by clinical sites.
