Refund Policy

as of April 2023

You are eligible to receive a full refund, minus a $150 administrative fee, up to two weeks after the start of the course.

Clinical Requirements

​​​​

Each hospital has their own specific requirements, but students should expect to need the following vaccinations at a minimum;

​

  • MMR

  • Hep B

  • Varicella

  • TDap/DTap

  • COVID-19

Advanced EMT

Advanced Emergency Medical Technicians provide the the first line of Advanced Life Support providers. They are trained in advanced physical assessments, minor cardiac dysrhythmias, intravenous therapy, and advanced IV drug administration. The Advanced EMT, in the absence of a Paramedic, is the highest trained medical provider in the the prehospital setting. They have over 200 hours of combined clinical and didactic education to provide them with a solid ALS background for treating patients with advanced life threats. They are trained in many advanced airway procedures to aid the distressed respiratory patient. They are a crucial member of the EMS hierarchy.

*The New Hampshire Scope of Practice Module will be included during the class*

Tuition - $1,850

  • $300 deposit due at the time of registration

  • Full tuition due by the first night of class. Flexible payment plans are available. For more information please email classes@mcgregorems.org.

  • Tuition includes: NH Scope of Practice module, required textbook, online platform access, and lab materials

  • Certification testing, optional textbooks, and certification fees are NOT included in tuition costs. 

  • You must also have a professional CPR certification to complete the course. You can obtain this yourself, or take our course for $75, which is built into the course schedule.​​

Prerequisites

Current - Valid EMT Certification
Current - Valid Basic Life Support Provider CPR Certification

* These classes need to be finished by the completion of the course. Print out copies for your records as well as a copy to turn in for class.

​

You should expect to provide the following documentation for clinical placement

  • Proof of health insurance

  • NREMT certification

  • BLS Provider CPR

  • Proof of tuberculosis screening

  • Proof of recent physical exam

  • Varicella vaccination

  • MMR vaccination

  • Hep B vaccination

  • TDap/DTap vaccination

  • COVID-19 vaccination

  • Seasonal flu vaccination


Specific requirements of partner hospitals will vary.

If you are being sponsored by a Fire or EMS agency and request that an invoice be sent, please use the promo code "invoice" (all lower case).
